This month, Joe and Pete Munoz entered Pete’s 1969 Chevelle Malibu, that Joe did a full restoration on, into the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals in Chicago.
The car was in the Concours Stock classification and finished with 996 out of a possible 1000 which resulted in a Gold Certificate plus the car won the Emerald Award for Best First Time Shown Chevrolet. There were almost 600 cars at this event.
The Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals is considered the Superbowl of Muscle Car shows and one must be invited to participate.
Vehicles are judged on a 1,000 point scale with deductions taken for any deviations from how the vehicle left the assembly line.
