Hello Enginetech friends.
Last week was Enginetech’s annual Teammate Appreciation Week. The owners of Enginetech like to take the time to appreciate the hard work that their teammates put into Enginetech each and every day. Our teammates are truly what set us apart from our competitors and are what drive our success throughout the years.
This year’s Teammate Appreciation Week looked a little different due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but that didn’t stop us from having fun. Thanks to our Office Administrator, Kathy Melton, we had plenty of fun treats throughout the week to enjoy.
On Monday, Enginetech treated us with all of our favorite snacks in the morning. They also treated us with Snowbaby treats on one of the hotter days of the year. Snowbaby creamy shaved ice tastes as if a snow cone and ice cream had a baby (very delicious). Everyone enjoyed their refreshing Snowbaby treats.
The fun continued on Tuesday with a Chick-fil-a catered breakfast, courtesy of Enginetech! We had chicken biscuits, fruit, cookies, and juice. You know you are working for the right company when they provide cookies for breakfast, just saying. Fun Fact: Chick-fil-a is a fan-favorite here at Enginetech because our General Manager, Nicholas Mabry, used to be the manager of a Chick-fil-a store during his college years!
On Wednesday, we celebrated all of our birthdays, anniversaries, and tenure that passed since the beginning of the year. Normally, we celebrate these milestones quarterly but we postponed them due to COVID-19. We had a lot of teammates to celebrate on Wednesday and we made the most of it. Enginetech ordered a HUGE half strawberry, half vanilla cake for us to enjoy. We also order our cakes from Candy Haven, a Denton-based and family-owned business in our area. They always provide us with the most beautiful and delicious cakes for our celebrations.
Thursday started off with one of our favorite breakfast meals – Einstein’s bagels! It seems like every time we order bagels for the office we never have any leftover (and we order a ton)! These bagels were gone so quickly that we didn’t even take a picture of anyone enjoying them. They are just too good!
In addition to our delicious breakfast, we also had an afternoon treat! Paciugo Gelato arrived at 2:00 pm with a variety of flavors for us to devour. We even went back for a second round of gelato because it was so tasty! The biggest debate of the day was which flavor was the best.
We wrapped up our Teammate Appreciation week with a catered lunch from On-The-Border. There were fajitas, chips, salsa, queso, guacamole, and tea. Everyone’s mouths were watering! We all had a great time, even while social distancing. Pictured below is Jason Stanley grabbing a plate of food. He is also sporting his new 3-Year anniversary pin on his left collar that he received at our celebration on Thursday!
We want to give a huge shout out to Joe, Sheri, and Fred for treating us to this amazing week of fun. Their dedication to maintaining a positive work environment for the teammates of Enginetech is what keeps awesome people around our headquarters. It is great to work for a company that values their teammates the way Enginetech does. We would also like to thank Kathy for organizing all the fun activities this week. Kathy is the “glue” that keeps this company together and we are lucky to have her.
The 2020 Teammate Appreciation week was a complete success!
